Caldic and Cargill expand their exclusive distribution partnership to the Baltic countries

Espoo, Finland, January 21, 2021 – Caldic and Cargill have signed an agreement, making Caldic the exclusive solution provider for Cargill’s complete Gerkens Cocoa and Chocolate products for food manufacturers in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. This agreement is effective as of July 1, 2021.

Caldic Ingredients Nordic is part of the Caldic Group, serving the Food segment customers in the Nordic markets and have now decided to expand its operations to the Baltics markets. In recent years, Caldic and Cargill have successfully developed customer relationships and enabled food manufacturers to expand their business in various local markets throughout Europe. In the Nordic markets, Cargill and Caldic have a long collaboration. Both parties now wish to extend the collaboration into the Baltics markets for the Cargill cocoa and chocolate products.

“We are very excited to expand the successful relationship we have with Cargill in the Nordics to the new markets”, says Gustav Larsson, Managing Director at Caldic Nordics. “Cargill’s significant investments in their cocoa and chocolate range and their commitment to regularly innovate, is completely in line with our own drive to provide our customers with the latest products and application solutions.”

Inge Demeyere, Managing Director for Cargill’s chocolate and compound activities in Europe, adds: “Caldic’s excellent approach to customer service and the way they develop solutions for their customers is second to none and matches Cargill’s own offering. We are very excited about this agreement, as it allows us to join forces to better serve food manufacturers across the region.”
