Caldic and Celtic Renewables enter strategic partnership to bring innovative bio-solvents, produced in Scotland, to global market
Edinburgh – Wednesday 28th October 2021 – Cleantech innovator Celtic Renewables has signed its first major re-seller, Caldic, as it gears up for the launch of Scotland’s first sustainable chemical plant at Caledon Green in Grangemouth, Scotland. The partnership secures a fast go-to-market strategy for the bio-solvents range, supporting Caldic’s customers in advancing their sustainability journey.Caldic, a leading solutions provider for the life science and specialty chemical industries will distribute the bio-solvents produced by Celtic Renewables’ first production plant. This high purity, bio solution, with an extremely low carbon footprint, will provide Caldic’s customers with a sustainable bio-based alternative to fossil fuel produced solvents.
This significant deal coincides with COP-26 which is good news for the UK as it transitions to a net-zero economy. The announcement of the partnership was made by Mark Simmers, Chief Executive Officer of Celtic Renewables, during today’s Engage, Invest and Exploit COP Event (Wednesday 3rd November) attended by Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.
